
Tour de Cure raises vital funds to support the researchers, surgeons and clinicians who dedicate their lives to finding a cure for cancer. Since 2007, the Tour de Cure community has grown to become a national movement of thousands of people, walking, running, riding and swimming to raise awareness and inspire support in the fight to cure cancer. Keeping the fundraising and marketing message on brand with such a diverse group of people across a wide range of ‘tours’ was proving to be a significant challenge.
Management brought me on board to bring a single, strong brand voice to communications. Projects involved rewriting the website, creating a database of inspirational fundraising materials, speaking at launch events to inspire riders, and managing all eNewsletter content. As a result of my time on team, stronger fundraising relationships were developed with Westpac, CommBank, Optus, Woolworths and Bunnings. TdC fundraising increased from $10M pa to $22M in my third year!
